Nami supports three survey types, each designed for a different listening purpose. Surveys are created in the web dashboard and delivered to participants through Nami in Slack.
Survey Types
| Type | Purpose | Typical Cadence |
|---|---|---|
| 360-Degree | Gather multi-rater feedback on an individual from peers, managers, and direct reports | Per cycle or on-demand |
| Pulse | Quick check-in on engagement, morale, or a specific topic | Weekly or monthly |
| eNPS | Measure employee loyalty with a single 0-10 question | Quarterly |
Creating a Survey
- Go to Dashboard > Surveys > New Survey.
- Select the survey type.
- Add your questions. Pulse surveys support rating scales (1-7) and open text questions. eNPS uses the standard promoter question (0-10) automatically.
- Choose participants -- select individuals, departments, or the entire workspace.
- Set a launch date and deadline.
- Click Launch.
Info
Once launched, Nami sends each participant a Slack DM with a link to complete the survey. Reminders follow the same 7/3/1-day schedule as review deadlines.
Viewing Results
Navigate to the survey detail page to see:
- Response rate -- how many participants have completed the survey.
- Aggregate scores -- averages, distributions, and trends per question.
- Individual responses -- available only to admins and HR, respecting any anonymity settings.
Warning
Anonymous surveys cannot be de-anonymized after launch. Choose the anonymity setting carefully before launching.
Tips for High Response Rates
- Keep pulse surveys under 5 questions.
- Launch on Tuesday or Wednesday mornings for best completion.
- Use Nami reminders rather than manual follow-ups.
